| Job Description | We are looking for 30 teachers who will working for a public school in Daegu Metropolitan city. Teaching level will be elementary or middle school.
The Metropolitan city of Daegu is located inland, in southeastern part of Korean Peninsula and it is as big as Seoul. You may enjoy urban life in Daegu just as in Seoul as the city has very good transportation systems and many other common features of a big city: Subway system, KTX (bullet train) and an international airport will provide easy access to places in and out of the city. Plus, there are large department stores, food courts, good quality restaurants, multiplex cinemas, many fast food chains and brand coffee shops. Usually, foreigners show interest in getting a job in Seoul. However, Seoul has the following downsides besides its attractions. High living expense. (costs more than double or triple than Daegu) Very crowded and the transportation could be stressful due to high traffic. If you work for a public school in Seoul or near Seoul, you will be deployed to manage class schedules for two different schools at the same time according to the Education office's instruction. However, in Daegu, you will be responsible for only one school. As after-school programs are managed by Daegu Education office, you can get an additional pay up to KRW 400,000 per month. After-school program finishes before 5 PM and it is actually within your working hours. Very easy access to Seoul (takes 1 hour & 40 minutes), Busan (takes 50 minutes) by KTX. This is considered relatively reasonable because it takes longer to get around within Seoul sometimes due to traffic congestion. Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Kwangju and Daejeon are commonly listed as the big cities in Korea. Daegu is definitely one of the biggest cities in Korea that will provide you with many rich experiences.
